MICHELLE HENN
OWNER/DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Michelle received her B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children – Dance Emphasis and Minor in Business Administration from SUNY Brockport.
Michelle has studied intensively under various dance professionals, including Clyde Morgan (African, Modern), Eddie Murphy (Irish dance), Colleen Hendrick (African), Jessica Fogel (Modern), and the Doug Elkins Dance Company (Modern). She has attended the intensive summer program at Binghamton University under Jeanne Fornarola. Michelle has performed at SUNY Brockport in Live Girls, a modern dance production with Pam Wunderlich. She has performed with the Park Avenue Dance Company, a professional company based in Rochester where she continues to attend classes. Michelle also continues to study dance by attending classes in Buffalo and New York City..
Michelle has taught various forms of dance to children at the Jewish Community Center. She also has experience teaching Creative Movement to children at local daycare centers. Michelle is also a certified Zumba instructor.
LAURIE DELVECCHIO
OWNER/DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Laurie received her B.A. degrees in Dance and Accounting from Mercyhurst College where she attended on dance and academic scholarships.
Laurie has performed solo roles in numerous ballets such as Don Quixote and Romeo and Juliet. She has been a student of many well known ballet figures such as Jean-Marc Baier, Mary Price-Boday, Jay Kirk, and David Howard. She has attended the intensive summer dance programs at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Ballet in Pittsburgh, PA and the Russian Ballet Seminar in Scranton, PA. Laurie has choreographed several ballet pieces which have been selected through adjudication to appear in annual Dance Rochester! concerts, such as The Atrium Performance Concert at Rochester City Hall. Her former students have been accepted into college dance programs at Hamilton College, Hope College, Mercyhurst College, SUNY Brockport, University of Buffalo, and Slippery Rock University. Former students have also gone on to dance professionally for Disney Cruise Lines and Royal Carribbean Cruise Lines.
In addition to teaching at the studio, Laurie teaches dance at area daycare centers.
RENEE CERRETTO
OWNER/DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Renee is a Rochester native and began dancing at the age of four. After training in the Rochester area with Margaret Hueston, Laurie DelVecchio, Donna Brett, and Michelle Bivone, Renee went on to earn her BA in Dance and Mathematics from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. and. a Master’s degree in Education from Walden University.
While in college, she performed in numerous pieces and ballets put on by the Mercyhurst Dancers such as: A Midsummers Night’s Dream, Raw Edges III-V, Dance Sport, and many more. She has studied under Tauna Hunter at Mercyhurst and has attended workshops with master teachers such as: Chris Tabor, Elaine Gardner, Tim Draper, Meggins Kelly, Luis Montero, and HT Chen in NYC.
At a young age Renee performed in several roles of the Nutcracker with Pittsburgh Ballet Company and Rochester City Ballet. She also performed in the ballet Cinderella with a local company in Buffalo, Pick of the Crop under Elaine Gardner, where she continues to take workshops during the summer. She has taught dance camp for several summers at local studios and continues to take classes at Dancers Alley.
In addition to teaching dance, Renee teaches math at a local high school for the Rochester City School District.
NIKKI BIVONE
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Nikki started dancing at the age of five at Little Red Dancing School, under the direction of Lisa Allain and Cayla Marilyn Allen. During her time at Little Red Dancing School she competed in many local and national competitions such as StarPower, Star Bound and Showstoppers. Nikki has studied under many master teachers including Frank Hatchett, Gus Giordano, Sheila Barker, Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman and Savion Glover. She has attended many dance conventions and classes through NYC Dance Alliance, Break the Floor and Dance Rochester. Nikki has been teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Hip Hop dance in the Rochester area for the past 13 years.
GIANNA TEGLER
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Gianna is an alumni of A Time For Dance. She started dancing at the age of 2 and continued all the way through her college years. Gianna graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance. During her years at Slippery Rock University, she studied under many professional concert dancers and a professional B-Girl. She also was the Head Captain for Slippery Rock’s Hip Hop dance team; Jamrock. While Gianna is well-versed in all styles of dance, her main interest lies in the Hip Hop genre. Gianna strives to use her knowledge in the Hip Hop culture to educate and inspire her students in their dance careers. Gianna has worked with children of all ages; starting her teaching career in college at multiple different studios, holding master classes and coming back to teach at A Time For Dance.
MARISSA DELVECCHIO
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
As a former ATFD student, Marissa DelVecchio so excited to be back teaching Musical Theatre dance classes! She graduated from Niagara University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Following graduation, she toured the United States and Canada with Missoula Children’s Theatre where she taught various theater workshops, acted in, and directed their musical production of Peter and Wendy with students ages 5-18. Some of her favorite local performing credits include: Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Roxie Hart in Chicago, Flotsam in The Little Mermaid, Yvette in Clue and Mama Ogre/ Pig #1 in Shrek. After coming back to Rochester in 2020, she began choreographing musicals for OFC Creations Theatre (Cinderella, Shrek, Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins). Marissa is also a judge for the RBTL’s Star of Tomorrow Program and is a Board Member for Blackfriars Theatre. When not performing or teaching dance, you can find her working in real estate at Re/Max Realty Group, where she entertains her clients while helping them buy and sell their properties across NY!
RACHEL KOTAS
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Rachel Kotas grew up in Rochester, NY and began her dance training at A Time For Dance at age 4. She has also danced with various studios including Rising Talents and the Draper Center. After high school, Rachel continued her dance education at the University at Buffalo where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. During her time in college, she trained under Jeanne Fornarola, Kerry Ring, Tom Ralabate, Joyce Lichtenberger, Danielle Sheather, and many other guest artists. Rachel was a member of Zodiaque Dance Ensemble, choreographed for Dancer’s Workshop, and was a Teaching Assistant for Ballet. She has been teaching in Rochester since graduating college. Although she loves all styles of dance, ballet is definitely her favorite.
ANNA MUCHARD
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Anna received her Bachelor of Science in Dance and Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children from SUNY Brockport. Anna started dancing at A Time For Dance when she was 8 years old. She has trained in many dance styles including Ballet, Pointe,Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, African, and Musical Theatre. At SUNY Brockport, Anna attended workshops with master teachers from modern dance companies such as Garth Fagan Dance, the Trisha Brown Dance Company and Stephen Petronio Company. Additionally, Anna was a member of Chamber Ballet, a contemporary ballet performance ensemble where she participated in dance outreach programs in Rochester elementary schools. In the Arts for Children program, Anna developed curriculum and lesson plans that focus on dance integration and multimodal learning. Anna strives to incorporate all learning styles and abilities in her dance teaching and choreography.
CHLOE OSTERLING
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Chloe Osterling has been dancing at A Time for Dance since she was 3 years old doing a variety of styles. She has always had a love for gymnastics and tumbling since she was very young. This passion lead her to start gymnastics at Bright Raven when she was 3 years old as well. As soon as Chloe could, she started demonstrating Acro classes at A Time for Dance. Chloe is going into her senior year at Churchville Chili High school. She plans to go on to college to study biochemistry, psychology, and to further her dance career.
PHILIP GRECO
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Philip has been dancing since the age of 7 in the Rochester area. Over the years, Philip has danced both recreationally and competitively, training with Studio 19 Dance Company and A Time For Dance. He has traveled across New York State, attending numerous competitions and conventions, and has taken master classes from various well-known artists, including Sonya Tayeh, tWitch and Mark Kanemura. In high school, Philip developed a deep love for African dance while studying under Michelle Henn and has choreographed and performed in multiple African pieces. Philip is currently attending SUNY Brockport, pursuing a major in social work with a minor in dance. While at Brockport, Philip continues his training in traditional West African dance at the college level, studying under Jenise Anthony, Mohamed Diaby, and Christian Quayson. He is also a member of the Sankofa African Dance & Drum Ensemble. As an A Time For Dance alumni, Philip is thrilled to be back now teaching at the studio!
